How it Works: Without Moulding

leGage Quick & Easy Window Treatments are designed to be super simple to use. They require a bare minimum of hardware or tool understanding. In fact, its safe to say that if you can push in a tack and put up a tension rod, you can use our product to bring an attractive flair to your window.

Tension Rod Bracket (TRB)

  1. Position bracket against corner of window opening at desired height (fig 1A)
  2. Place "push pin" in hole on bracket face.
  3. Gently tap head of "push pin" with hammer to penetrate the corner edge of the inside wall. (fig 1A). Tap until the hub of the pin is flush with the bracket.

    Anchor the Bracket:
  4. Carefully remove bracket from wall edge and replace the "push pin" with a custom tack (included). Reposition the bracket into the pilot hole. Push on tack head to press in completely (fig 1B)
  5. Repeat with second bracket on opposite side of window.
  6. Position dressed tension rod between brackets. Center the rubber feet of the rod over the tack heads (fig 2)

Finial Placement

  1. Select finial style to suit decor. For custom color match, paint finials and medallions with acrylic, enamel, or latex.
  2. Place in alignment over the TRB bracket and press to snap finial into position. (fig 3) To remove, peel lower edge of finial up.

Styling Arm (for holdback, swag and decorative features)

  1. Swag Feature:
    • Insert either end post of styling arm into corner hold of mounted bracket. (fig 4)
    • Drape swag fabric over positioned styling arm.
    • Attach medallion (see Medallion Placement), style and adjust fabric.
  2. Holdback Feature:
    • At level of the teir rod bracket, gather the curtain panel to the side of the window in a pleated accordian fashion (small width pleats are easier to handle).
    • Holding the gathered fabric together, loop the styling arm around the held fabric so that the top length of the styling arm leans toward the center of the window. (fig 5)
    • Straighten up the loaded styling arm and thread its top end post into the cornerhole of the bracket. Style and adjust fabic. Attach medallion (see Medallion Placement).
(Suggestion: release the outer-most two folds of the fabric from the lower length of the styling arm to hide the bracket.)

Additional Hold-back Options:
To create holdback features without the assistance of a tension rod, insert a second (standard) tack or push-pin through the slot in the rear of the TRB bracket. (fig 6) Assure a tight fit for optimal retention.

For fabrics having more bulk or weight, screw fastened metal brackets and larger styling arms are also available.
